Datalogic PowerScan PBT9500 2D scanners easily read barcodes printed directly onto items, which is known as Direct Park Marking (DPM). These powerful cordless 2D barcode scanners also read standard barcodes on printed labels. This includes 1D and 2D barcodes, along with postal and stacked codes. And because the PBT9500-DPMs are omnidirectional, they can capture these images from any angle.
When reading DPM and traditional printed barcodes, they can do so from distances up to 1.9 inches. This varies depending on the DPM technology used, the barcode resolution, and the material and surface types. On tiny, high-resolution barcodes, the PBT9500-DPM 2D scanners have a reading distance of up to 5.9 inches.
To survive the rigors of harsh conditions for which these devices were designed, the Datalogic PM9500-DPMs withstand repeated drops onto concrete from distances up to 6.5 feet. They also have IP65 sealing ratings, indicating their strong resistance to liquids and dust.
